Interests include transnational science; circulation of ideas across borders; ideas and public policy. Recent publications: and edited volume Doing Medicine Together: Russian and Germany between the Wars  (2006); Shifting Boundaries of Public Health: Europe in the Twentieth Century (ed. with Lion Murard and Patrick Zylberman, 2008). She is currently working on a monograph entitled Bringing Russia Home: German and American Health Experts and Soviet Socialized Medicine in the Interwar Years.
